Japanese Shodo (calligraphy): Kanji & Kana

In this four-week Shodo workshop, the students will learn the basic calligraphic strokes for Kanji characters and Japanese Kana (alphabet).  You can choose several different Kanji or Kana words to practice.  Making your own seal will complete your Shodo pieces.

Short Bio: Mamiko Ikeda

Born in Tokyo, Japan. She has studied Japanese calligraphy from Shotei Miura, her mother and master calligrapher. She has shown her art and has taught Japanese calligraphy in Colorado for over 10 years at schools, museums, and Japanese cultural events.
